Automattic presented a new ad network called Blaze which places marketing on complimentary WordPress.com websites and Tumblr. Advertising begins at $5/month.
Automattic is the business behind WordPress.com, WooCommerce, Akismet, Tumblr and other business.
It was founded by Matt Mullenweg, the entrepreneur who developed the free WordPress open-source material management system (CMS).
Blaze Advertising Network
The advertising network was originally presented in April 2022 as a network exclusively for Tumblr users to put ads on other Tumblr pages.
Automattic revealed that the network is now broadened to bloggers on WordPress.com and WordPress self-hosted publishers who have the Automattic Jetpack WordPress plugin installed.
Publishers on WordPress.com will be able to utilize the WordPress dashboard at wordpress.com/advertising to get going picking pages to promote.
Marketing payment is for impressions, not clicks.
Those who are utilizing the WordPress CMS can access Blaze through the Jetpack plugin.
If Jetpack isn’t currently set up then it must be installed, either the complimentary or superior version works.
Those who are utilizing Jetpack can then begin the project from the WordPress.com control panel at https://wordpress.com/home.
From there a user browses to the Posts or the Pages screen and scrolls down to choose the posts or pages for advertising, clicking on a three-dot (ellipsis) menu to select the Promote with Blaze choice.
The user interface allows marketers to select the audience that will see the ads. Audience selection is segmented by what continent the ads will appear in, what type of gadgets will see the advertisements (mobile or desktop) and by what topic the ads will be displayed in.
Advertisements Are Revealed The advertising can appear from among countless Tumblr and free WordPress.com web pages. Management of the Blaze ad campaign is done through the control panel interface at wordpress.com/advertising.
The projects are established by a daily spending plan and by dates that the marketing will be shown. Blaze ads include a title, a bit and an image.
According to the Blaze assistance page:”Title: This appears above your image and as bolded text. You can compose an optimum of 80 characters here, use them carefully to catch the audience’s attention.
Snippet: A brief text description of your post that appears underneath your image. You can write an optimum of 120 characters here. We advise utilizing this text to support your heading and give viewers more context about what they will see when they click the advertisement and get to your material.
Image: Publish an image to represent your post. You can use the crop tool to change your image’s appearance in the advertisement.”
